TETADA Kalimasada bids to host 5th Doce Pares World Events
CEBU, Philippines - TETADA (Therapy through Internal Energy) Kalimasada of Indonesia expressed its willingness to host the fifth edition of Doce Pares World Championships and Congress next year.
Kalimasada Grandmaster Eddy Surohadi and International Trainer and Doctor Ibu Ida Surohadi made the offer as a form of goodwill during the 4th Doce Pares World Congress yesterday at SM City-Cebu.
Tetada Kalimasada was recently accepted as member of Doce Pares family.
GM Surohadi and Dr. Ida said they can get full backing from the Indonesian government in bringing an international martial arts event in Jakarta.
"We have an International Kalimasada event and we can bring the Doce Pares at the same time for a back-to-back international events," said Dr. Ida.
"We are under Indonesian president's foundation and we can have full financial backing," added GM Surohadi.
Tetada Kalimasada has assured a five hectare facility which boasts of 250 room accommodation.
"We look forward to hosting the 5th Doce Pares World Championship and Congress. We need input though from everyone to make sure the event will become successful," added Dr. Ida.
Meanwhile, 22 countries from both hemispheres of the globe will vie for supremacy in the 4th Doce Pares World International Tournament Sparring Competition today at the SM City Trade Hall from 10 am until 7 pm.
On July 24-26, the participants will have a fellowship at the southern town of Badian where the Doce Pares Beachfront Training Camp is nestled.
At 4 pm on July 26, the Eskrima Temple - the world's second martial arts temple next to Kung Fu Temple in China - will be inaugurated at the Doce Pares Mountain Training Park.
