Boysen Paints, Uni-Tec now 2-0 in UABC caging

CEBU, Philippines - Boysen Paints and Uni-Tec breezed through their second straight wins in the United Architects Basketball Club (UABC) Corporate Cup Season 5 last Sunday at the Cebu Eastern College (CEC) gym.

Michael Vincent Cinco once again stole the show, churning out a game-high 26 points on top of seven rebounds, one assist and one steal as Boysen Paints strolled past title favorite Durabend, 73-70, while Klein Baladya led a balanced scoring attack that propelled Uni-Tec to a 59-55 victory over Megabond.

Richard Badayos banged in 12 markers and three steals for Boysen Paints, which used a solid fourth-quarter offensive to stun Durabend of team owner and 'Pinoy Biggest Loser' contender Alan G. Choachuy. 

Earlier, Baladya chalked up 16 points, while Chad Go and Antonio "Jay-R" Decatoria, Jr. conspired for 25 markers for Uni-Rec, which also used a relentless fourth-quarter offensive to turn the tables on Megabond.

In the other game, Multi-Line barged into the win column after gunning down Davis Paints, 62-47.

Multi-Line trailed after the first period, 13-15, but took full command of the match after turning the tide in their favor at halftime, 31-24. They padded their lead to 12 after three quarters, 49-37, before translating it into a 15-point demolition.
