Cebu cyclists brace for Tour of Southern Leyte

CEBU, Philippines - Cebuano cyclists gear up for this year’s Tour of Southern Leyte set from June 23 to 26 in Maasin City.

Cebu’s representatives to the LBC Ronda Pilipinas led by Jaybop Pagnanawon will lead the local riders' charge in this battle.

Aside from the open division, there will also be an executive class.

The event is a four-man team competition, with the third member’s time to be used as the team’s official time.

Registration fee is pegged at P1,500 for both open and executive entries inclusive of free meals and a souvenir shirt.      

Cash prizes will be given away to the top five teams in each category.

The first stage will cover 124 kilometers from Maasin to San Juan, while the second stage will have 128 kilometers from San Juan to Silago. The final stage is a 71K Team Time Trial from Sogod to Maasin.
