CEBU, Philippines - Cebuano bodybuilders will get a chance to represent the country in the World Bodybuilding Championships next year when the 12th Mr. & Ms. Philippines Asia 2011 takes place on October 20 to 23 here in the Queen City of the South.
Event organizers are announcing the staging of the event early so that local bodybuilders can prepare ahead of time.
Aside from getting a ticket for the World Championship in Greece, well-respected body building organizer, Dennis Delgado disclosed that winners of the event gets to take home big cash prizes.
This event is part of the 24th anniversary celebration of Workout Fitness Center, which Delgado runs. He also wants a Cebuano to dominate the battle.
Class champions will pocket P10 thousand, P5 thousand for the second placer and P3 thousand for the third placer while the overall champion gets P50 thousand.
Ms. Figure and the Novice Open-Mr. Workout will get P8 thousand each while the next two placers will get the same amount as that of the men’s class runner-ups.
On the other hand, the bikini model which includes 40-above bodybuilders under the master’s division pockets P5 thousand and the next two spots with P3 thousand and P2 thousand respectively.
The fourth to sixth placers in all categories will get a medal each.
Official registration in this NAC Philippines-powered event will be on October 20 along with the height classification and pre-judging.
The final battle will take place the following day at the City Sports Club.
More to the World Championships and cash prizes at stake, it will be a great opportunity for the body builders to appear on an international magazine and website. – THE FREEMAN
