Queen City-A and Hiroshi pace 40-above category

CEBU, Philippines- Queen City United-A and Hiroshi share the top spot of the 40-above class of the 11th National Inter-club Football Cup taking back-to-back victories each at the University of San Carlos Technological Campus in Talamban, this city.

QCU-A outsmarted defending 40-above champion San Roque-Count Football Club with a 1-0 triumph to claim its second win in as many outings.

Hiroshi, for its part, grabbed its second win at the expense of QCU's sister team, QCU-B, 2-1.

QCU also made a good start in the men's open as it pulled away a 6-1 win against San Roque Royale United.

The men's open division is led by Hiroshi with 2-0 win-loss card, the second win of the team came after it pulled past Count FC, 2-1.

Count FC was not lucky that day at all as its youngest bets was badly beaten by Ateneo de Cebu, 7-0.

On the other hand, Blessed John avoided another trouble by outsmarting Danao, 4-3.

Earlier, Danao ended with a 2-all draw with Paref Springdale.

Host University of Carlos beat QCU not just once, but twice in the girls' 17 class.

USC-TC opened with a 3-0 victory before pulling a 2-0 triumph against Queen City.   (FREEMAN NEWS)
