Hortelano leads AVGCC Jungolf winners

CEBU, Philippines- Joan Hortelano led the top performers in the Summer Jungolf Program of Alta Vista Golf and Country Club, which was concluded the other weekend.

Hortelano won the title for the advance category with John Philip Hernandez taking the first runner-up honors and Sir Cross Abarintos was second runner-up.

In the intermediate class, Annika Yeo was the champion with Axelle Alfonso finishing second and Isabella Sierra was third.

Matt Bucao led the beginners' class with Lexie Sierra at second and Anika Alfonso taking third place honors.

For the beginners' class, Alfonso was the best in putting, Sierra the best in pitching, and Bucao the best in blasting.

For the intermediate and advance classes, Yeo was best in putting, Hortelano the best in pitching, and Anton Pastoriza was best in blasting.

Pastoriza also won the award as most improved player.

In the best ball team event, the group of Anton Pastoriza, Annika Yeo, Willie Mae Go, and Lexie Sierra won the title.

Second place went to the team composed of Joan Hortelano, Isabella Sierra, Matt Bucao, and Pablo Geneston.

Second runner-up was the team of Horace Acas, Axelle Alfonso, and Anika Alfonso.   (FREEMAN NEWS)
