CEBU, Philippines - Teenager David Park led the winners of the May Monthly Medal of Alta Vista Golf and Country Club last Saturday by taking the lowest gross honors for class A.
Park scored even-par 72 strokes and edged Emelio Tan in the countback to win the award.
Tan took the lowest net plum as he made 63 strokes while runner-up honors went to Tony Amor with a net score of 64.
The lowest gross honors for class B went to junior golfer Dominic Espinoza with four-over-par 76 strokes.
The lowest net title went to Boy Gonzalez with 63 strokes while runner-up honors went to Benjie Hortelano with 64.
Lino Dagus displayed his mastery of the course to take the lowest gross trophy for class C shooting 84 strokes.
The lowest net award for class C went to Mar Selma with 66 while Sir Cross Abarintos had a net 67 to finish as runner-up.
Razy Razon was the third player to score gross even par last weekend giving him the senior's crown.
The lowest net award for the players aged 55 years old to 69 went to club director Vicente 'Inting' Go with 63 strokes. Club treasurer Ramon Sebastian took the runner-up honors with a net score of 67.
Rolly Santos won the lowest gross honors for the super seniors class, which is for those aged 70 years old and up. Santos shot five-over-par 77.
The lowest net award went to Ed Sanchez with a tournament-best score of 58 strokes.
Emy Lou Tan led an all-jungolf romp of the ladies class as she won the lowest gross plum with her even-par-72 performance.
Joan Hortelano shot a net score of 67 for the lowest net award.
Ted Almario once again ruled the guest division shooting a net score of 70 strokes while runner-up honors went to Lt. Col. Elvis Jequinto with 71.—NLQ (FREEMAN)
