CEBU, Philippines - Mark Suson showed he could be one of Cebu's tennis stars in the future after securing his third title in less than two months via the 4th Mandaue City Mayor’s Cup Age-Group Tennis Cup at the Mandaue tennis courts.
Suson outclassed Adrian Kinaadman, 10-5, in the unisex 10-under final to make it a treble after lording it over earlier in the Smart-Head and the Prince Nextgen events.
In the boys 14 category, Joshua Kinaadman took home the champion's trophy after overcoming a tough challenge mounted by Geo Pepito, 10-9 (7-2).
Elgy Dasian, on the other hand, made the most out of the absence of some top junior netters here to rule the girls 18-under class by edging out Claire Lazaga, 10-7, while Junel Espinosa survived the gritty Mark Bienes, 10-9 (7-3) to top the boys 18-under.
Allysa Mae Bornia clobbered Sheena Maine Dungog, 10-1, to clinch the girls 12 tiara, Mary Calapre trounced Beverly Enriquez,10-0, for the girls 14 crown, Mark Norman Enriquez frustrated Ralph Juliane, 10-3, to dominate the boys 16 category, while Francis Lambayan posted a 10-2 win against Clyde Laquio to take home the boys 12 plum.
