X-Men rules Talisay volleyball

CEBU, Philippines -  Banking on their vast experience, Team X-Men thrashed the University of San Carlos (USC) Spiking Warriors in straight sets to secure the championship of the 1st Nino Rabaya Cup volleyball tournament at the Talisay City gym.

The Spiking Warriors put up a gallant stand all throughout the three-set battle, but the X-Men spikers simply held on their ground to emerge victorious, 25-22, 25-23 and 25-23.

The powerful trio of PHL beach volley member Jonrey Sasing, Roderick Arenasa and Jesriel Pino piloted the Norvie Labuga-manned X-Men to crowning glory along with Joselito Moncada and Roel Lato. They received P8,000 for their feat aside from a trophy and medals.

USC pocketed P6,000, while Dindo Salon Xclusivz got P4,000 for copping the third place honors. (FREEMAN)
