'Grandia de Mayo' cycling tourney slated May 14-15

CEBU, Philippines -  Cebuano cyclists get ready for a two-day road race action dubbed as the "Grandia de Mayo Cycling Competition" at the South Road Properties on May 14 to 15.

The event, also called the Tour of South of Cebu, features the open, executives, women's, and juniors division.

More to it, each rider must be under a certain team. With this scheme, local riders’ teamwork and focus will be tested further.

Each team shall be composed of at least five riders from the different categories even including female pedal-pushers.

Registration is now open at MK'S 1020 Food Avenue along Torralba Street in Brgy. Lahug, this city.

The deadline for registration is on May 10 to ensure that all finishers will get a medal for their efforts.

Late entries will still be accepted though but they will have to pay P400 for the transponders and will only get a certificate of participation.

The participants will deal with three stages including a team time trial and road race from the SRP to Moalboal and back. (FREEMAN)
