CEBU, Philippines - The municipality of Consolacion under the flagship of Mayor Teresa P. Alegado will be holding a free Summer Sports Clinic featuring soccer and basketball to its young constituents.
The soccer training camp, which formally kicked off yesterday and will run until May 15, is under the supervision of Councilor Nilo A. Ferraren, while basketball will be handled by sports commissioner Hon. Paul Alelu Q. Flores, a former FEU Tamaraws standout during his collegiate days whose prominent teammates include PBA star Arwind Santos and Denok Miranda.
The main purpose of the twin undertaking is to further harness the skills of aspiring hoopters and football fanatics from Consolacion.
Open to kids aged six to 13 years old, the one-month basketball clinic will kick of on May 7 at the Consolacion Sports Complex.
Registration will take place from May 2 to 6. Those who are interested to join are advised to look for Louie Malagar at the gym from 9 am to 12 nn or contact 0923-4045411.
