4 pm San Marino vs. Winner Beef Loaf
5:30 pm Lion Tiger vs. Rose Aquarius
7 pm Prime Asia vs. Gaisano Capital
Coming off an 80-65 rout of San Marino Corned Tuna for its fifth consecutive last Thursday, Gaisano Capital takes on Prime Asia Pawnshop in the main game at 7 pm. Prime Asia totes an even 2-2 win-loss record.
On the other hand, the Lion Tiger, which sports a 4-1 win-loss record, will go up against the winless Rose Aquarius Merchandising right after the preliminary match between the skidding San Marino Corned Tuna and Winner Beef Loaf.
Last Thursday, PBA coach Bo Perasol of Powerade witnessed the Gaisano-San Marino duel and keenly watched the moves of 6-foot-9 beanpole Junemar Fajardo.
Fajardo went on to lead Gaisano Capital with 13 points, while Glenn Magallanes, who scored 10 straight points in the second half, added 12 markers.
Edward Pao had 10 points for Gaisano Capital but unlike their excellent sniping from the three-point arc against Lion Tiger, they are not so effective from the field against San Marino.
In fact, they were even so complacent late in the fourth period that their 23-point lead, 73-50, was slightly reduced by San Marino.
Bonifacio Guillena Jr. topscored for the 1-3 San Marino with 15 points even as Joseph Nalos and Jhonard Pineda added 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Meanwhile, Jerome Silva, one of the remaining veteran players in the Lion Tiger roster, topscored with 19 points even as Andrew Avellanoza and John Michael Abad had 12 and 10 points.
Only pointguard Midget dela Rama finished with double figures for Ave Maria with 13 points. (FREEMAN)
