13th Ornopia Cup on today in Calambua

- Caecent No-ot Magsumbol -

CEBU, Philippines -  Cebu’s veteran and upcoming riders return to the birthplace of the MS Motosuit Motocross Series for the staging of the 13th Ornopia Cup in Calambua, San Remigio.

Not less than 50 riders from all over Cebu and even from other areas in the Visayas and Mindanao are expected to see action.

Unfortunately, one of the brightest products of this series, Jon-Jon Adlawan, will not be able to join the race as he left for Denmark for a series of tournaments there.

Adlawan had been longing to race in Calambua attributing to the natural terrains that the riders will be dealing in with. He was ready to do a showdown last week, only to find out that the race had been reset today.

Without Adlawan, however, the likes of Kimboy Pineda, John Flores, Seigfred Ornopia and his sons Kerry, Keizer and Brylle, Donkey Sanchez, BJ Pepito, Jun Enriquez among others are expected to make today’s race another unforgettable outing.

The event started out as a fiesta highlight by the Ornopia family with now Calambua Brgy. Capt. Lou Ornopia wanting to share to their 'kababayans' the blessings they have been receiving.

The huge success of one race led to another until MS Motosuit big boss Ornopia decided to make it a series.

Sponsored by Petron Sprint 4T, F&FO Motorparts, RMO Motor Parts, CEVETCO, Prospeed Motorparts, Motomaze Motor Parts, Dr. Andy Uy, Vice Mayor Irwin Aguspino, Mayor Jay Olivar and Congressman Benhur Salimbangon, today’s action serves as the fourth leg for the 2011 series. (FREEMAN)
