Pajo belles seek to reclaim national crown in Shakey's G-League

CEBU, Philippines - Cebu’s bet Pajo National High School Lady Vipers will strut their wares in the national scene as they clash with Tacloban City today in the opening of the Shakey’s Girls Volleyball League dubbed as “Tournament of Champions” at the University of St. La Salle (USLS) in Bacolod City.

The Fr. Rey T. Manayon-mentored PNHS left for Cebu yesterday bringing higher hopes that they could make it in the cham-pionship this season.

Days before the tournament, PNHS had their intensive training in preparation for the nationals as they aim to reclaim the national title.

“Hopefully, we could improve our performance this year and we hope that we could make it this season. But it always depends on the performances of my players, that’s why I kept on telling them to really do their very best and have focus," said Manayon.

PNHS will bank on the performances of its first stringers in Gretchel Soltones, Marjorie Coloscos, Charlita Auza, Cristy Sucalit, Apple Roiles and Danika Molinas.

Originally, Fr. Manayon got three reinforcement but only Julaiza Mae Larada of the University of San Jose-Recoletos was able to make it as Nina Fernandez and Shyrra Cabriana from the University of Southern Philippines Foundation (USPF) backed out. – (FREEMAN)
