5th CESAFI Partner's Cup: Gaisano, Ave Maria face off tonight

CEBU, Philippines - Opening day winners Gaisano Capital-UC Webmasters and the Ave Maria Sanctuary Park-USJR Jaguars dispute the solo lead when they square off tonight in the 5th CESAFI Partner's Cup at the Cebu Coliseum.

7 pm Gaisano Capital vs. Ave Maria

In the preliminary match, the Rose Aquarius-USPF Panthers of coach Raul Latonio will take on the San Marino Corned Tuna-SWU Cobras.

The Junemar Fajardo-led Gaisano Capital devoured Winner Beef Loaf-CIT Wildcats last Saturday, 73-62, while Ave Maria eclipsed the Prime Asia-USC Warriors, 70-69.

Aside from Fajardo, Gaisano Capital can also count on Edward Pao, Luigi Bercede, Robinson Mohammad, Gerald Ampoon and Quinton Brian Heruela.

Ave Maria on the other hand, can rely on Abulaiz Suliman, Jason Nudalo and Christian Senining, among others.

Since coach Edito Salacut was ejected during the Ave Maria-Prime Asia tussle, he will serve an automatic one-game suspension and will be back to the bench on Thursday when they will face the Winner Beef Loaf.   (FREEMAN NEWS)
