ACT battles Mandaue in CBA caging today

-

CEBU, Philippines - The Asian College of Technology (ACT) Cyber Knights will take on the winless Mandaue-Cebu Landmasters with hopes of staying at solo second place in the 1st M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala-Cebu Basketball Association (MLKP-CBA) season at the USC-Main gym.

In the other game, Hotel Fortuna hopes to bounce back from last Sunday's stinging loss when it goes up against the other listless squad Talisay City.

The 1-1 Cyber Knights of coach Titing Manalili will rely on Alano Caputolan, Bernie Ursal, Ronaldo Bucao, Michael Luga and Abe Galinato, while coach Roel Gomez's Landmasters can count on the veteran Reggie Licanda, top center Franklin Nailon, Frangel Omolon and Joever Samonte to name a few.

In the nightcap, the 1-2 Hotel Fortuna will have a catch-up game in order not to be left out as they try to get back into the win column against the 0-2 Talisay City.

Coach Pablo Yu's Hoteliers will be bannered by the younger crew from the SWU Cobras led by Aard Evan Diango, Chris Litorja, Jeffrey Pria, Clefford Maguate and Ritchie Jalandoni with the addition of Vernini Tangarorang and Mark Manigque.

Talisay is pinning its hopes on leading scorer Jayford Rodriguez but he must also need the support from the rest of his teammates. (GGM) (THE FREEMAN)
