CCUPA caging kicks off this pm

Games today (Cogon Ramos gym) 2 pm MJDL vs. Alin ; 4 pm Pimentel vs. CEBAMA

CEBU, Philippines - The MJDL Brokers/MS Trucking led by Michael Jude D. Logarta takes on newcomer Alin Customs Brokerage, while strong title contender MP Customs Brokerage of team owner Marty Pimentel tests the mettle of another new member CEBAMA in the opening matches of the Cebu Customs United Personeros Association (CCUPA) basketball tournament today at the Cogon Ramos gym.

Both MJDL and Pimentel are original members of the CCUPA and are perennial contenders even before the time of the Customs Employees and Brokers Union (C.E.B.U.).

A simple opening program will take place prior to the hardcourt action. Expected to grace the affair are Bureau of Customs (BOC) District Collector Atty. Ronnie Silvestre and Rady Abarintos, chief of the cash division.

Aside from MJDL and Pimentel, one of the title favorites is the CCUPA team led by its president Yoly Cena.

The other participating teams are Canillas & Gonzales Customs Brokerage, SUGBUPIM Customs Brokerage, MAJOS Customs Brokerage and CMM Customs Brokerage. (GGM) (FREEMAN)
