CEBU, Philippines - Bacolod-native JM Ocaña topped the elimination round of the DC Summer X-Games’ skateboard event under the Omega Pro-Casino Active Summer Break 9020 at Asia Town I.T. Park.
Ocaña ruled class A after showing off 270 board slide tricks to outshine 111 other skateboarders who joined the battle.
Edgar Morales came in second while Bryan Palanca ended third in this event facilitated by the Naga Skateboard group led by Angelo “Stoy” Tagalog and
Visioneri.
In class B, it was Jiam Valdon who dominated their class.
Ocaña and Valdon now lead the semifinal cast set next month in Talisay. The top performers in Cebu will move up to the DC X-Games National finals set later this month.
On the other hand, Leroy Grant and Kebong Evasco added up spice in this event organized for the benefit of kids with cancer under Kythe Foundation by showcasing their wares well in the BMX class.
Grant dominated the street category as Paul Mendoza wound up second and Elmer John Llanes took third place.
Evasco, for his part, ruled the flatland over Kevin Flores while Tepin Marquez settled for third. (FREEMAN)
