De los Santos, Bacong rule Run For Youth
CEBU, Philippines - Mary Grace de los Santos may be exhausted from her bid at Mt. Manunggal but it did not stop her from winning The Couples for Christ-Youth for Christ Sector 2 Run for Youth at SM-City Cebu North parking area yesterday.
After conquering the climbathon the other day, De los Santos utilized yesterday’s race as a recovery run turned another victorious campaign. She finished the women’s 10K action in 40 minutes and 55.03 seconds.
Christy Sevilleno-Tutor came up with another second place finish in 42:12.10 followed by Madelyn Carter with a 42:48.20 clocking.
Jordan Bacong grabbed the men's top spot with the time of 33:53.77. Ian Bernido ended up second in 34:43.03, while Adonis Singson settled for third in 34:52.80.
On the other hand, Aiza Suwaybaguio dominated the women's 5K in 20:29.26. Crisel Diongson (21:01.43) and Lovely Andrin (21:36.69) wound up second and third, respectively.
In the men’s 5K, Jorry Ycong stunned Joel Delposo by just 2.11 seconds. He clocked in 16:14.11 as Delposo's 16:16.20, while Jess Gonzaga was third in 16:21.35.
In the 3K, action, the top three runners in men’s division were Roland Bantiancila, Michael Estrera and Riez Enriquez, while the distaff side had Joeyry Lee, Allysa Lagahit and Jhean Andrin. – (FREEMAN)
