Aikido seminar tonight
CEBU, Philippines - A three-day seminar for aikido enthusiasts, both experts and beginners, will be held starting at 7 pm today at the Cebu Midtown Hotel. It will be spearheaded Sensei Hitohiro Saito of Japan, founder of the traditional iwama aikido.
Misido aikido head instructor Arnel Ruiz said the seminar will include teaching of basic techniques in iwama aikido, which is considered as the mother of all forms of aikido founded by Morehie Ueshiba.
“We are expecting close to a 100 participants that will join our seminar. It will also serves as the launching of the book “Aikido Basic Technique” by Hitohiro Saito,” said Ruiz.
Ruiz added the event is open to other aikidokas who came from the other dojo in Cebu .
