Navarro plucks 2 more golds in G-League swimfest

CEBU, Philippines - Anthony Linn Navarro of the Cebu Blue Marlins added two more golds and a silver in his treasure vault during the penultimate day of the National G-League Age Group Swimming Championship yesterday at the Trace Aqua Sports Center in Los Baños, Laguna.

Navarro of Cebu Eastern College (CEC) had a golden finish in the 200m individual medley and in the 50m backstroke under the 12-year-old category. He also got silver in the 400m individual medley. 

Navarro, last year’s outstanding swimmer in the 11-year-old bracket, already had two golds the other day via the 200m backstroke and 100m individual medley.

Michael Ichiro Kong of FBC Christian School, on the other hand, was not able to sustain his gold medal hunt as he only had a silver finish in the 200m individual medley under the 12-year-old class.

Likewise, Lyh Ann Navarro could only salvage a silver in the 400m individual medley under the 11-year-old category. (THE FREEMAN)
