CEBU, Philippines - As part of going global and promoting fighters not just from the ALA Gym, the Philippines premier boxing promotional outfit ALA Promotions again has made a major step.
After having signed names like two-time world champion Katsunari Takayama of Japan, former world champion Florante Condes of the Philippines and world contender Jimrex “The Executioner” Jaca, ALA Promotions has welcomed another group of fighters to be promoted under its wing.
In a breakfast meeting held at the Casino Espanol de Cebu in the heart of the Queen City of the South, ALA Promotions chairman Antonio Aldeguer and president Michael Aldeguer met with former North Cotabato Governor and Brave Heart Boxing’s Manny Pinolto seal an agreement for ALA Promotions to be the official promotional outfit for the Brave Heart boxers.
In a telephone interview with the former governor, he said “I see ALA Promotions as the biggest and most capable promotional outfit in the Philippines comparable to Zanfer Promotions of Mexico.” He also added that he is very happy and excited about the recent development and is looking forward to be working with the Cebu-based group.
As the new promoter of Brave Heart boxers, ALA Promotions will be showcasing these boxers in their major shows here and abroad and will also be supervising their careers.
ALA Promotions president Michael Aldeguer said “This is a very positive thing for Philippine boxing. I believe that the Philippines has one of the most talented boxers around and I have always pictured our country to be the next boxing mecca of the world.”
