CEBU, Philippines – Citigym holds a more daring challenge with the staging of a half marathon on Oc-tober 31 at Waterfront Hotel grounds in Lahug, this city.
Also dubbed as the Citigym Halloween Run, the event also includes the 12K, 6K and 3-kilometer action again.
An exclusive class for Citigym clients is also added in the event.
Last year, the event attracted 1,800 even before the full bloom of running here.
This time, around 2,000 runners are expected to see action.
More than the cash prizes which totals to over P40,000, there are other exciting prizes at stake in the event.
Under the premiere 21K, the first 500 finishers gets a specially-designed medals while the top finisher gets to enjoy an overnight stay at Waterfront Hotel in Lahug and a Newton running shoes through Runnr.
To be in the winners' circle though, one will have to deal with a tricky race course as it involves several turns including inside the Cebu Memorial Park (Cempark).
To add up excitement, organizers of the event will be giving special award to the runner with the best Halloween-related costume. (FREEMAN)
