Fairchild, Mactan Apparel win in MEPZ volleynet

CEBU, Philippines - The Fairchild Team and Mactan Apparel shared honors just recently by winning the men’s and women’s volleyball crown respectively in the MEPZ-HRA Sportsfest in Lapu-Lapu City.

The Fairchild Team won against Mactan Apparel, 3-1 in the best of five sets to win the men’s volleyball crown while the Mactan apparel downed Pentax in three straight sets to win the women’s volleyball crown.

The bowling and chess events are also being played.

After two days of the HRA bowling tilt at the SM Bowling Lanes, TMX Philippines holds both the highest team single and highest team double by scoring a 794 and 1,519 pinfalls, respectively.      

TMX Philippines also collected a total of 2,898 after two days of competition while the two other close pursuers are Fairchild with 2,560 pinfalls and Lexmark with 2,488 pinfalls.      

Those who landed at the top 10 after the second day of the bowling competition are Taiyo Yuden with 2,339 pinfalls, Teradyne with 2,220 pinfalls, Jewlepico with 2,184 pinfalls, Phil-Japan with 2,166 pinfalls, Aboitizland with 2,132 pinfalls, Pentax with 2,011 pinfalls and Makoto with 2,001 pinfalls. (THE FREEMAN)
