CEBU, Philippines - Jon-Jon Adlawan scored a double victory in the 2010 MS Motosuit Motocross Series-1st Mayor Nelson Gamaliel Garcia Cup in Dumanjug the other day.
Adlawan of the University of San Carlos outclassed Jubenile Abellar in the premiere pro open class as another USC rider John Flores bagged the third place honors.
Adlawan, the reigning MS Motosuit Rider of the Year, reasserted his dominance over Abellar in the expert category.
Little-known Whelbert Maraño, on the other hand, collected three titles via the intermediate, beginners and novice open production.
Maraño surprised the rest by winning the top spot over Rex Barbaso as Cyril Tariman wound up third in the intermediate division.
Maraño got his two other titles over Tariman and Ayen Ledesma, who settled for the second and third spots respectively.
Ledesma bounced back through the open enduro against another seasoned rider Donkey Sanhez as JC Obligado landed third.
The seventh leg’s race course designer Siegfred Ornopia also had a great time as he ruled the executive A class over Rosel Gungob and Jun Enriquez.
One of Ornopia’s sons, Keizer, won the special peewee race over Froilan Mendaros as Richie Pepito landed third.
BJ Pepito, however, prevented Keizer and his brother Ken Kerry from dominating the regular peewee race. (FREEMAN)
