St. Peter Life Run set October 24
CEBU, Philippines - For the first time since the running boom here, an event, though staged for a good cause, will only be charging a very minimal registration fee, making the 1st St. Peter Life Run something to look forward on October 24 at the SM City-Cebu grounds.
For an entry fee of only P50, a runner will help raise funds for the Bantay Bata 163 Foundation, the chosen charity for St. Peter Life Plan and chapels for this event.
The first 1, 500 runners will also get a free singlet, while those who miss the cut will still be able to join since organizers are not limiting the number of entries.
St. Peter employees and plan holders who wish to take part in the race are required to wear a costume related to the Halloween.
The categories to be contested are the 10K, 5K and 3K, which is exclusive for St. Peter plan holders and employees.
St. Peter Plan representative Ven Torres said during a press conference at The Nook of City Sports Club-Cebu yesterday that the event is among the highlights of their 40th year anniversary.
A total of P36,000 in cash prizes will be given away to the top performers.
Registration starts today at ROX and Runnr at Ayala Center-Cebu Active Zone and at Toby’s Sports in SM City-Cebu. (THE FREEMAN)
