Mandaue chalks up back-to-back wins in Talisay cagefest
CEBU, Philippines - Team Mandaue nailed back-to-back wins as Solmeat savored its first victory via overtime in the 2010 Talisay City Mayor’s Cup Basketball tournament at the city’s sports complex.
James Laygo charted 23 points as Mandaue escaped past AC Sports, 86-84, to grab the temporary lead in the open division with a clean 2-0 slate.
On the other hand, Solmeat bounced back from a previous defeat and vented its ire on the Salazar Colleges of Science and Institute of Technology,109-106, via overtime.
In the seniors division, Tanke mercilessly demolished Pooc, 105-57, in the same way withTabunok over Mohon,102-56.
In the Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) category, Tanke posted a 71-67 triumph over Cansojong, while Poblacion outsmarted Jaclupan, 77-63.
