Litigators, Pecandela complete 6-0 sweep in Lawyers cagefest

CEBU, Philippines - The Litigators and Pecandela Law Firm both completed a six-game elimination round sweep in the 5th Lawyers League-2010 Mayor’s Cup basketball tournament at the Capitol Parish gym along Escario Street, this city.

The Litigators coasted to its sixth straight win in as many starts at the expense of Young Lawyers Association of Cebu (YLAC), 77-71, while Pecandela Law Firm followed suit via a lopsided 63-45 whipping of the Pañeros.

In the other games, defending champion Super Idols improved its win-loss record to 4-2 after coming up with a 60-40 rout of the Bros ‘N Law, while the Mt. Zion outgunned the winless Iron Eagles in overtime, 71-59.

Richard Bauzon topped the Litigators with 22 points, while three-point artist Lito Ortiz and Edward Bauzon chipped in 20 and 18 markers, respectively.

Skipper Mark Russ Gamallo, on the other hand, topped Pecandela with 18 points. (FREEMAN)
