- Caecent No-ot Magsumbol -

CEBU, Philippines – As if she did not have enough, Mary Joy Tabal grabbed another title just a few hours after winning the women's 21K run of the Milo National Marathon-Cebu leg as she dominated the VAL 2020 Naga Charter Day Run last Sunday afternoon in Naga.

Tabal showed no signs of fatigue and came up with a convincing win over Joeyry Lee in the women's 5K with the time of 21 minutes and 40.77 seconds. Lee clocked in 22:35.89 to settle for second place, while Christy Sevilleno-Tutor wound up third in 23:35.89.

While Tabal had another convincing performance, men's 21K champion Adonis Singson could only land at third in the men's 10K won by Elmer Bartolo.

On the other hand, Mary Grace de los Santos savored another victory in the 10K run.

De los Santos, who did not join the Cebu leg of the Milo Marathon since she already qualified for the national finals through the GenSan leg, posted the time of 39:09.82 to defeat Mereeis Ramirez, who finished in 46:49.82.

In the men's 5K, Jory Ycong came out the fastest in 17:40.98. John Philip Duenas placed second in 17:41.21 followed by Jordan Bacong in 17:47.45.

The Freeman marketing manager Janet Montenegro stole part of the limelight as she ruled the women's media 5K, while the men's side was won by Bayani Alvarez.

Joey Lee, Jr. topped the 3K run in 13:40.37 followed by Jeneucel Amamangpang (14:04.12) and Dann Paez (15:45.35).

The Andrin siblings swept the top three spots in the girls 3K, with Jhean winning the top spot in 14:25.79 followed by Lovely Fe (14:40.96) and Cherry (4:46.03). (FREEMAN)
