Val2020 Run in Naga this Sunday

- Caecent No-ot Magsumbol -

CEBU, Philippines - Cebuano runners who missed to beat the deadline to list up for the Milo Marathon-Cebu leg or those simply want to run a race this Sunday can join the Val2020 Naga 10k Charter Day Run at the Naga Baywalk.

This is the first time that Naga will be hosting a foot race with a growing number of Naga residents also getting hooked into running.

The race will feature 10, 5 and 3-kilometer events.

The 5-k run will feature an open division and media run while the 3-k run will be for fun runners.

Last December, there was a fun run held in the municipality, but was participated mostly by Naga residents only.

During the event’s press conference at Sunburst in Gaisano-Tabunok, Naga Administrator Engr. Arthur Villamor said the race also serves as highlight for the third Charter Day celebration in Naga and also a birthday celebration of sorts of Naga Mayor Val Chiong.

Even with the Milo Marathon-Cebu leg also taking place this Sunday, organizers said both events will not be in conflict with each other as the Naga race is set in the afternoon.

It could serve as a recovery run for the participants of the Milo action.

Cash prizes and trophies will be given away to the top performers of the event.

Runners will have until the race day to register. Entry fee is pegged at P200 only. Registration centers include the Senior Citizens Office in Naga and at Vicky Marketing in Tabunok.
