CEBU, Philippines - Top judo officials and other club representatives from different areas in the Visayas and Mindanao will have a seminar and meeting today at the Applied Nutrition Center in Brgy. Banilad, this city.
The event, spearheaded by the Southern Philippines Judo Association, covers a refereeing seminar first followed by the officials’ meeting.
The referee seminar will be handled by Philippine Judo Federation’s referee director Alamjavier Indanan, while PJF’s executive vice president for Region VII lawyer Vicente Fernandez II will oversee the meeting.
In another development, one of Fernandez’s son, Joaquin, has been included in the RP Team’s line up for the Asian Junior Sports Exchange Games 2010 in Tokyo, Japan set at the end of this month.
This will be the second time Joaquin will join this event and this time he is expected to perform better since he just underwent a tough training via the Asian Judo Youth Camp in Bangkok , Thailand last month. (THE FREEMAN)
