Mawin's Kitchen, Panthers log 2nd straight victories

CEBU, Philippines - Mawin’s Kitchen of team owners Sherwin Lequit and Maia Adriatico defeated Emilmich of Emily Badon, 73-58, while the Panthers clawed the RJM Power Builders, 66-53, for their second straight wins in the Mawin’s Kitchen Basketball Cup (MKBC) 2010 2nd Conference at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Gym in Brgy. Punta Princesa, this city.

In the other games, the Victor Village Residents Association (VVRA) led by veteran pointguard Lito Navarro defeated Fatima, 66-55, while Demolish whacked Kamikaze, 70-55.

Egin Taborada knocked in 20 points for Mawin’s Kitchen, while Matt Vallejo and Gerry Empenado banged in 12 and 11 points, respectively.

Emilmich was led by Gil Ilagan with 19 points.

Gabriel Bacaba spearheaded the Panthers with 23 points, while Bryle Mascardo netted 17 markers for the Builders.

The VVRA, on the other hand, was led by Navarro, a former CPC Navigator, with 24 points. Nico Laborte topped Demolish with 15 points.
