Convergys stays unbeaten in Inter-BPO caging

CEBU, Philippines – Defending champion Convergys slammed Aegis People Support, 75-60, to stay unbeaten in the 6th Inter-BPO basketball tournament at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

Convergys jumped off to an early 26-61 and kept its composure in the second canto to pad its advantage to 15 points at halftime, 54-39. People Support never recovered from thereon.

Antonio Reyes and Kristian Tapic paced Convergys with 13 points apiece, while Arnold Esteban and Ronald Mabanto added 20 points combined.

Jomie Mendez and Clifford Amarado had 21 and 16 markers, respectively, for Aegis People Support.

In the other matches, Qualfon nipped Cebu Global Teleservices, 67-64, while Eperformax won by default over Accenture. (THE FREEMAN)
