CEBU, Philippines - Former SIT Skyblazers top gunner Reyland Jumalon dropped a dozen three-point bombs in a 37-point explosion, while ex-UV Lancer Rene Toring added 31 points as Brgy. San Nicolas whipped Pardo, 110-98, in the Conor Cup Invitational basketball tournament at the Mambaling Sports Complex.
Earlier, Brgy. Guadalupe rode on the heroics of grizzled veteran Michael Almonte to beat Inayawan, 93-87.
Jumalon sank four straight triples in the first period where he scored 14 points and gave San Nicolas its first lead, 27-26. He continued to wax hot the entire evening as San Nicolas rolled over to an easy 20-point lead in the final three minutes of the third canto, 85-65.
Pardo, which now lagged at the cellar with a 1-3 win-loss card, was led by ex-Lancer Vergel Abelong with 28 points.
In the opener, Wilson Gabucan scored 20 points while Almonte and another commercial veteran Alex Cainglet chipped in 17 points apiece to lead Guadalupe.
