San Miguel donates P50T to SAC

CEBU, Philippines - San Miguel Corporation further strengthened its ties with the Sportswriters Association of Cebu by donating P50,000 to the group's future projects and activities.

Manuel M. Moreno, SMC assistant vice president and plant operations manager of its Mandaue brewery, personally handed over the P50,000 cheque to SAC represented by the three major dailies here (The Freeman, Sun.Star and Cebu Daily News).

SMC has been a long-time partner of SAC and their pet project, the annual SAC-SMC All-Cebu Sports Awards, is now on its 28th year.

SMC communica-tions officer Girlie Garces earlier said the amount may not be that big but believes it can help the sportswriters in putting up a 'seed money' for whatever sporting endeavor they plan for the rest of the year.

SAC president John Pages, for his part, said he is set to meet all members of the association to discuss their projects and activities for Cebu sports.   (FREEMANNEWS)
