CEBU, Philippines - Reigning Sinulog 9-Ball Open champion Ciriaco “Ratsky” Abellana topped his bracket to earn a semifinal berth in the Borak Billiard Zone’s 1st 9-Ball Tournament the other night at the E-Zone (formerly Paseo) in Panagdait, Brgy. Kasambagan, this city.
Abellana was joined into the next round by Antonio Cosi, Anton Raga, Achilles “Akil” Navarra, Rico “Insik” Bangug and Ricky San Fernando.
Aside from customized cue sticks, the top four winners will also receive cash prizes, with the champion taking home P20,000.
The second will pocket P10,000, while the second and third will receive P5,000 and P2,000, respectively. The fifth to eight will each get P500, while the ninth to 16th placers will earn a consolation prize of P300 apiece.
A special prize of P1,000 will be given away to the “Trick Shot King.”
