4th Y101 Corporate Cup tees off on Friday at CCC

CEBU, Philippines - The 4th Y101 Corporate Cup tees off on Friday at the par-72 Cebu Country Club course.

This annual event, which features a four-to-play, three-to-count format will be using the Modified Stableford Scoring System.

Teams shall be carrying the names of corporate entities, said Martha Tuason, chief executive officer of Y101-FM and at the same time organizer of the tournament.

She said that the major backers this year are again Armscor and Playboy Philippines Magazine.

Armscor, which has been the biggest sponsor of the event every year, will again be giving away firearms to the lucky participants in the raffle draw.

This is what has set the tournament apart from other golf events that are held around the country.

Tuason said that the awards ceremony will be sponsored by Playboy Philippines Magazine.

Entry fee for the tournament has been pegged at P10,000 per team or P2,500 per individual.

Those who wish to register can go to the website of the station, www.y101fm.com and click on the event logo. Interested players and teams can also register at the host club.

The organizers said that they will limit the number of participants so that everyone will get the tournament giveaways.

The tournament was conceptualized as an event that would bring together the various corporate executives from Cebu and around the country.

This was first held in 2007 and has attracted teams from Manila and other parts of the country aside from companies based in Cebu. — THE FREEMAN
