The View tees off today

CEBU, Philippines - The 12th View Invitational Golf Tournament tees off today at the Alta Vista Golf and Country Club in Pardo, this city with the first half of the 200-team field set to see action.

The View is the club’s annual member-guest tournament and offers several prizes for a hole-in-one.

Gateway Motors (Kia) Cebu has put a Kia Rio sedan at stake while a Club Car golf cart, a lot from Santa Lucia Realty, non-cashable chips from Pagcor Cebu and Mactan, a trip to Hong Kong, a package from Marco Polo Plaza Hotel, and a Yamaha motorcycle from Norkis Trading are the others at stake.

These prizes will be assigned to specific par-3 holes during the four-day event.

In case more than one player will win a particular set of prizes, such will be equally shared.

Some of the prizes put on the line for an ace will be raffled off during the award rites if not won. The items to be raffle off will be officially announced during the awards ceremony.

There is also a Skygo motorcycle at stake for an eagle on all of the par-4 holes.

The tournament will be using the Modified Stableford Scoring System that awards six points for a double-eagle, five for an ace, four for eagle, three for birdie, two for par, and one for bogey.

A player, who is playing for no more point must pick up his ball to speed up the play.

Several companies and individuals have also thrown their support to the tournament by way of sponsorship.
