Fadai TKOs Chinese foe in Singapore MMA show

- Caecent No-ot Magsumbol -

CEBU, Philippines - Sabah Fadai, who calls Cebu his hometown, brought home another honor following an impressive debut in the international scene with a technical knockout win against China ’s Yang Fei in the inaugural staging of the ESPN Star Sports Asian Martial Combat Wednesday night at the Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore .

“The Persian Warrior” Fadai earned the victory in only two minutes and 36 seconds over Yang as relayed by Renault Lao, a Cebu-based promoter of MMA and one of those taking care of Fadai here.

Fadai who fought the second bout, may just have a single win under MMA before stepping into the cage as against Yang, who sports three wins and a loss before their encounter, but thrilled the crowd with his powerful strikes and set up skills for a ground and pound enroute to victory.

Here in Cebu, Fadai trains under Gracie Barra. He was the only fighter bringing Cebu, Philippines that night.

A few months back during the awarding ceremonies of the 28th Sportswriters Association of Cebu-San Miguel Beer (SAC-SMB) All-Cebu Sports Awards, Fadai expressed sincere appreciation to the award-giving body and promised that when his fight at ESPN materializes, he will do everything to win the fight.  (FREEMAN NEWS)
