CEBU, Philippines - The Visayas Integrated Swimming Association (VISSA) ended its bid with a gold and two bronzes in the 12th Hong Kong International Invitational Swim Meet at Hong Kong International School in Tai Tam the other day.
Don Julio Juan and Antonne Carlo Villahermosa of Maria Montessori International School together with Jack Donald Gibb and Jason Ginn Lopena of the University of Bohol got the gold in the 4x50m medley relay.
Don Julio Juan Villahermosa also got a bronze through the 100m breaststroke.
The other bronze came from Ferle Estera, also of MMIS, in the 50m butterfly event.
Myles Ioannis Chi of MMIS, Dyza Bianca Saco and Veana Mei Lim of University of Bohol also joined the meet but went home empty-handed.
Head coach Bas Ceballos and his assistant Vince Indig said the field is strong but they were happy of the overall performance of the group considering that they were all first timers.
Teams from Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Manila and VISSA composed the more than 400 swimmers who participated in the annual event.
