CEBU, Philippines - The Pimentel Brokers-D Force handed the Enforcement Security Service (ESS) X-Ray its worst loss, 83-53, even as the Mactan Hotmen of Collector Bingo Matugas completed a 4-0 elimination round sweep by scoring a masterful 75-54 victory over the Caburnay Brokers in the Bureau of Customs (BOC) 1st Port of Cebu Sportsfest at the Benedicto College gym in Banilad, Mandaue City.
The Pimentel Brokers, owned by Marty Pimentel, now has 3-0 win-loss record to top bracket B.
Albert Arong scattered 19 points for Pimentel, while Jun Borromeo and Francis Ibo chipped in 13 and 12 points, respectively.
In showing its might, Pimentel closed the first period with an imposing 28-7 lead and then coasted to a 47-19 advantage at the turn.
Jingjing Rama, a deadshot from the three-point territory, topscored for ESS with 21 points.
