CEBU, Philippines - Bull-strong center Cesar Esteban Ortega and ace point guard Michael Arias of champion team Power Forty selection shared the MVP honors in the inaugural season of the Cebu Golden Basketball League (CGBL) during the simple awarding ceremony at the house of league organizer Atty. Flor Yosores in Tayud, Consolacion.
Ortega and Arias were joined in the Mythical Five by Gilbert Gajudo of Power Forty and Romeo Vasquez and Titing de la Torre of second placer Minglanilla Basketball Association (MIBA).
The awards night was graced by the former PBA star Elmer “Boy” Cabahug, Montoy Singson and Opel Cabaltera, a former USJ-R Jaguars star.
Power Forty got P15,000 for winning the title, while MIBA and Better Run Basketball Association (BRBA) got P7,500 and P5,000, respectively.
