Cebu City bets open bid with 6 golds in Manila dancefest

CEBU, Philippines - Dancesport-Team Cebu City opened its title retention bid with six golds, eight silvers and five bronzes in the 2010 DSCPI 1st Quarter Ranking and Competition the other night at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila.

Charlea “Chanda” Lagaras and her long-time dance partner Ronnie Vergara continued their winning ways by grabbing the gold in the latin grade A, while Dearlie Gerodias and Erolle Melencio.

In the modern standard discipline, Bernie Tumarong and Miljane Camacho handed DTCC's lone medal, a bronze, in the grade A category.

DTCC official Eleanor Hayco and Lloyd Bartolini contributed a gold in the standard special event 2-female and a bronze in the standard grade B.

Hayco completed her medal collection by snatching a silver in the latin special event-2 along with Anselmo Estillore.

John Paul Mocorro and Therese Andre Quilaton produced the most number of golds for DTCC after sweeping the latin and standard juvenile C action.

Prince Laurence Inocando and Danilo Gagani added a gold through the standard SE1-Female and Wilbert Aunzo and Pearl Marie Cañeda in the latin youth.

Mae Pabuaya and Samson Orlanes may not be lucky in the latin grade, but managed to go home with a silver via the standard C.

Rinzon and Reyana Mae Elarcosa came up with a double silver from the latin and standard junior A.

The other silver medallists for DTCC were Mark Rhony Flores and Miachaelyn Ledda in the standard SE1F, Marlon Aliño and Kinue Sakurai in the standard senior C, Jeric Canoy and Jessa Mae Briones in the standard youth A, and Jason Klein Deluvio and Kathleen Joy Deluvio in the standard junior C class.

The Elarcosas also got a bronze in the standard C, Wilbert Aunza and Pearl Marie Cañeda in the standard youth A and Roque Marquez and Rhea Marquez in the latin youth A. – THE FREEMAN
