Vudo sets the pace in Denker bootfest

CEBU, Philippines - Team Vudo scored a back-to-back wins to take the early lead in the men’s open division of the Denker League 2010 in Lapu-Lapu City.

Vudo opened its bid with a 7-0 whitewash of Bankal-Abuno and followed it up with a 3-0 thrashing of Metropolitan Lapu-Lapu.

Vudo now stands with six points and 10-0 record for its goals achieved.

Pajo, on the other hand, won against Metropolitan Lapu-Lapu, 2-0, and versus Olango, 2-1, but fell prey to Looc, 2-3.

Bangkal-Abuno occupied the third spot with four points and 6-11 goals.

Bangkal prevailed over Looc, 4-2, and fought to a 2-all draw with Metropolitan Lapu-Lapu.

In the youth division, host MABES is on top of the leaderboard with a clean 20 slate after defeating Alegria, 5-0, and Bankal-Abuno, 1-0.

The visiting Abellana Football Club also had a great start, hacking out a 9-0 demolition of Bankal-Abuno.

In the other youth division matches, Olango drubbed Alegria, 6-0, Cental B outsmarted Central A, 6-0, while Looc silenced Alegria, 8-0, in the tournament organized by the Football Club-Inter Cebu. –Caecent No-ot Magsumbol   (FREEMAN NEWS)
