CEBU, Philippines - Team Mambaling once again plucked the winning chord in the 9th leg of the Go Ching Hai-Martina and M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala Cup Dancesport and Hip-Hop Circuit II the other day at the Tisa Sports Complex.
Mambaling outsmarted the equally-aggressive Guadalupe squad with three golds, three silvers and a bronze in the open category.
Mambaling’s golds were courtesy of Jon Maurice Bahena and Niza Zanoria in the standard youth open, Roberto Paulia Cañiban and Ellah Marie Marquez in the latin juvenile, and Shardie Baydal and Vaudeville Butanas in the latin youth.
Guadalupe settled for second place with two golds and a bronze. Its golds came from Jose Butch Tinio and Hanna Jane Ricafranca and junior dancesporters Joseph Miguel Cantilla and Kate Mariel Macasero.
Apas was left with two silvers and two bronzes, Mabolo could only get a bronze.
In the closed competition, the Pacañas grooved their way to the top with Vinz Park and Trisha topping the latin juvenile and Dominique and Lorraine Mae dominating the junior class.
The latin youth class saw Jupe Flores and Kristel Kaye Gucor clinching the title after they edged out Lon Brian Recerote and Marie Signar.
