Power 40, MIBA set up title duel in CGBL caging

CEBU, Philippines - Power Forty and the Minglanilla Basketball Association (MIBA) arranged a best-of-three finals showdown after disposing their respective rivals in the Cebu Golden Basketball League (CGBL) at the Inayawan Sports Complex.

Michael Arias and Stevenson Dajalos fired 27 points each as Power 40 defeated the Better Run Basketball Association (BRBA), 115-107, the MIBA ousted strong contender Los Amigos Basketball Association (LABA), 77-70.

Cesar Ortega contributed 20 points, while Allan de la Rama added 14 markers for Power Forty.

Rap Abadejos and Dodong Espinosa topscored for the BRBA with 26 and 25 points, respectively, while Pacito Campos drilled in 20 points.

Meanwhile, Titing de la Torre and Edgar Rivera each scored 19 points for MIBA, even as Romy Vasquez and Monching Cadiz had 29 points combined.
