CEBU, Philippines - The well-rested Ave Maria Sanctuary Park/USJ-R Jaguars hope to extend their winning streak to four in a row as they take on Aerosol-USPF Panthers in the lone collegiate match of the 4th CESAFI Partner's Cup today at the Cebu Coliseum.
Games today (Cebu Coliseum)
2:30 pm CIT vs. USJ-R (jrs.)
4 pm UV vs. USPF (jrs.)
5:30 pm USJ-R vs. USPF (srs.)
In the opener, the Bibbo-CIT Wildkittens and the Ave Maria/USJ-R Baby Jaguars meet for the first time since the former won the CESAFI crown last October.
The other juniors match feature the PTT Fuels-UV Baby Lancers against the Aerosol-USPF Baby Panthers.
As usual, the 3-0 Jaguars will rely on the experience of three reinforcements in Armand Poce, Jabe Delfino and Manny Gabas. Of course, they also count on the support of bull-strong center Kurt Amores and top hitman Edwin Bibera.
However, if the Panthers will show the same attitude and display the same kind of energy when they lost to the San Marino-USC Warrior by two points last week, tonight's contest will be anybody's ballgame.
The smaller Panthers, who are toting an even 1-1 slate, will definitely use their speed and quickness to outsmart the Jaguars.
Some of USPF's top guns include Elvin Labares, Arletroy Mercader, Dennis Ferraren, Dennis Tabada Elwin Durano, Fritz Djalos and Ellison Rivera.. - GGM (THE FREEMAN)
