CEBU, Philippines - Several sporting and fitness related competitions highlight Citigym’s fourth year anniversary beginning tomorrow with the Citigym Tour de Cebu and ending on March 28 with the CityRun at Waterfront Hotel in Brgy. Lahug, this city.
All activities will be for its gym members only except for the run which is open to the public.
The Tour de Cebu, which starts tomorrow, is a month-long competition for all spin aerobics enthusiasts.Each spin session earns them a virtual mile around the island of Cebu with the grand marathon as its finale.
There’s also an amateur boxing event dubbed as the Citigym Contender on March 26 wherein those doing some boxing lessons in the said gym gets to test their know-how for a three-round bouts.
Also taking place on the 26th of March are the group exercise marathon competition which include a cardio-kick boxing, latin, and hip-hop aero.
On March 27 comes the ultimate fitness challenge in which participants will have a half-day battle around the city for an outdoor adventure racing set-up by the Urban Goats.
Serving as a final activity for its month-long celebration will be the first City Run.
The event will be classified into two, the open and all-Citigym clients action, both of which will have the men and women’s class.
Participants in the open and Citigym clients’ battle have three race lengths to chose from, the 12, 6 and 4 kilometers.Organizers decided to include the 12K run to push the seasoned runners a little further from the usual 10K races.
The top 10 finishers in the open 10 and 6K will be receiving medals, cash and or a gym pass while top performers under the Citigym clients’ race will also get an equally exciting prizes. The biggest delegation will also get special prize.
Early registrants until the 28th of this month will only pay P150, while the rest will be assessed with P200.
