CEBU, Philippines - The Dark Green hoopsters led by Rick Dayondon crushed the Yellow squad, 73-65, to firm up their grip of the overall lead with a clean 4-0 slate in the Still Fighting Athletics Association (SFAA) basketball tournament at the Cebu Eastern College (CEC) covered court.
Dark Green trailed by a hairline, 15-16, in the early going, but unleashed a flurry of baskets in the second and third quarters to break the game wide open, 51-38.
Bobby Emol and Rex Domein spearheaded Dark Green with 19 and 16 points, respectively. Dayondon donated a dozen markes followed by Jorge Pareja with 10.
In the other games, Scarborough nipped TNT, 86-84, to even its win-loss record to 2-2, while Team Black banked on the scintillating 30-point show of Michael Sumayang to come up with a 91-66 rout of SWAN-RTW and nail its fourth victory against a solitary defeat.
In the finale of the heavy five-game schedule, Red dumped the Warriors, 67-56.
