MS Motosuit top honcho Lou Ornopia, the man behind the event, said a different criteria will be applied this time for the selection of ROY awardee. 60 percent will be based on the rider’s overall performance in the entire series and 40 percent for his behavior and how he deals with the officials and fans in general.
“Riders are being looked up to by their fans so it is best that the Rider of the Year be based upon his overall performance and his character. Grabe kaayo ang pag-idol sa mga tawo nila, unya sila di kabalo mo-handle sa ilang isig ka rider, sa mga fans, sa organizer. So, maayo nga apilon nato ang ila bevahior sa pag-pili og kinsay best,” said Ornopia.
